Senior Project Manager

This exciting project which consisted of the master planning, Addition and Rehabilitating of the NOAAM campus that is located in the heart of the Treme neighborhood, which is the oldest African American Neighborhood in the United States of America. The challenges consisted of meeting with NOAAM board members, and the Treme community in order to develop a design that meets the client, and the neighborhood expectations. By managing a team of designers and consultants that provided a solution that understood the historic significance of the structures yet to meet 21 st Century Design requirements, at the same time working in tandem with the different local and federal agencies for design approval (SHPO, Secretary Of Interior's Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties, HDLC). This project was funded through a CDBG grant and it is backed up by historic tax credits and new market credits which also needed to be coordinated by the architectural design team (working in collaboration with Billes partners)
